This Morning -+   
This morning I made coffee as if my womb was  
not a dried blond leaf.  I might not be as sharp  
 
as a breath mint, nor beautiful as needing one.    I may not love that you think of me as a screwdriver  
 
or milk cap.  But this morning I rose from the sheets  
like a tiger, like an obituary, a vial of cocaine.  I have  
 
ruined my marriage by swelling and swelling into  
sorrow, but I rose this morning, did my hair like it  
 
was a white flower, or shoes that had not yet been  tried out.  This morning I entere This Morning -

Nights at the Circus

  • Watching: snippets about Turrell's skyspaces
  • Drinking: tea: lots
Reading Week is here and to my disappointment the Centre for Performance Research has nothing on James Turrell (whom I have to research for my Folio)...which is why I am raking around in youtube to find snippets here and there, after all, his works are things to be seen, not to read about.
I am also looking into Robert Wilson again and the more I read, the more I like him...
I am recommending Swiss Butoh dancer Imre Thormann (www.bodytaster.com) to anyone who's interested in highly physical and disturbing post-World War II Japanese dance...
Janet Cardiff's "Opera for a Small Room" ist also something I would propose looking into, as well as "Gododdin" by Brith Gof (I think it was at some point performed in the Tramway in Glasgow, very impressive!) and the works of Hotel Pro Forma (www.hotelproforma.dk)
That's it so far, outside my window it is storming and raining and I couldn't care less. ^^
